Artists for Animals

Our April artist of the month is Alyson dudek

Alyson is a teaching assistant at J. Watson Bailey Middle School where she has worked for 10 years.

As a photographer she is constantly seeking new adventures and experiences she can capture through her lens. She hopes to bring out the beauty in the world around us and to create images that evokes emotion and inspires people to explore the great outdoors. She’s been fortunate to take some of her favorite photographs in the most unexpected places. A small flower on the side of the road, a bee colleting pollen or most recently a howler monkey in Guatemala.

We hope you enjoy her work and even more can be found at alysonwanderlandphotography.com

The project is an effort to merge the animal community with the growing art community in the Hudson Valley and has been very successful since its inception. The UCSPCA works closely with local artists, allowing them to display their work in the shelter for one month. Each month the featured artist displays their work at the shelter and proceeds from the sale of their work comes back to the animals.
