A second free clinic will be available in either late August or early September, TBD.

Our free rabies clinic is offered at various times throughout the year and is made possible by a grant from the Ulster County Department of Health. We offer free rabies vaccinations for owned pet dogs, cats, and ferrets.

This is for a free rabies vaccine only, no other vaccines or additional clinic services will be available during the free rabies clinic.

To attend the drive-thru Rabies Clinic:

  • No appointment is necessary. This is a first-come, first-serve vaccination clinic provided by the UCSPCA at our shelter address: 20 Wiedy Rd, Kingston NY 12401.
  • All clients must arrive between 11am and 1pm.
  • You must wait inside your car. When you arrive, wait with your animal in your car until it is your turn. Staff will direct you where to drive and park.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash and cats/ferrets kept within a carrier at all times. Each cat MUST be in its own appropriately sized carrier. If an additional carrier is needed, you can purchase a cardboard carrier from the UCSPCA for $5.
  • Be sure to bring previous vaccination records for your pet if you have them. Typically this allows clinic staff to approve a three-year rabies vaccination. If prior vaccination records are not available for your pet, often a rabies vaccine can still be given that will be valid for one year.
  • This is a free clinic; no payment is required. Donations are always appreciated to help us continue our work!

For any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Clinic Office Coordinator at (845) 331-5377 ext. 2, Mon-Thurs, 9:00am to 3:30pm.
