KIDS HELP UCSPCA

Want to help the animals of the UCSPCA but aren’t 18 years old yet?

Here are some great ideas!

Hold a Fundraiser

Hold a bake sale, lemonade stand, penny drive, or garage sale, and donate the proceeds to the UCSPCA.

School Projects

Do you have a school project coming up? If the topic is your choice, make it about animals. It’s a great way to share information about topics such as shelters vs. pet stores and puppy mills.

Organize a Drive

Organize an animal food and supply drive in your community for the animals of the UCSPCA. Put a marked container in a busy area for people to contribute to. See back for our wish list. Not only does this collect much needed goods, but raises awareness about needy animals.

Form a Club

Organize an animal related group that meets regularly to discuss animal related topics such as proper pet care, current issues, animal rights, etc . Develop community service projects together (see fundraisers below). For tips on how to start a club, visit www.humaneteen.org.

Keep Up-to-Date

Read lots of books about animals. It will keep you knowledgeable and accurate. The library in your school or community has lots of interesting, fun, and educational books on animals.

Be a Humane Educator

Encourage people to adopt from shelters rather than pet stores or breeders. Also teach them to become responsible pet owners by sharing accurate information and practical suggestions.
