Project Feral

Project Feral is aimed at helping local residents lower the feral cat population, feline disease, famine and starvation. Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return is widely regarded as the most successful and humane method to reduce the feral cat population. For a $30 sponsorship or donation, a local feral cat will be altered, vaccinated and ear clipped.

Trappers Needed

Spaying and neutering feral cats prevents an increase in feral populations.  This, and caring for their colonies, will alleviate their suffering and gradually decrease their numbers.  Any kittens born are socialized, fostered and put up for adoption into loving, forever homes.

  • Trappers needed for new TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) local feral cat program.  Must have car and be available mornings.
  • Trapping experience-terrific! But will train people willing to make the commitment.
  • The work is in the Woodstock, Saugerties and Kingston areas but may need help in other nearby towns.
