This
is Cody — he is a 3yo French
Pointer/Pitbull mix - he was a humane law seizure in August
of '07 - he is very vocal if he wants attention - he "smiles" which
is disconcerting if you don't expect it because like an Osmond,
he's got quite alot of TEETH - he will sit on command & will
shake whichever paw you ask for, unless he's excited & then
you will get both. He likes to play tug of war - not so quick
for the give YOU the ball, stick, toy etc - he came in with
a couple of other dogs & has lived with cats & bunnies.
His former owner wasn't always such a nice person when
cody was a puppy and because of that he was awarded to us.
He has an amazing capacity for forgiveness (as do many of
the dogs we end up with) he is putting his unhappy puppyhood
behind him quickly - he loves hugs & he LOVES to ride
in the car - he shows his scenthound side when you are walking
in the woods or hiking (his nose almost NEVER leaves the
ground!) - he likes hamburgers from MacDonalds & he's
friendly in the car - he's a front seat sitter & he's
very well behaved when you have food - if you don't offer
it, he won't try to take it. As you have probably guessed
- he is my favorite dog here & he needs a kind home -
probably no cats since he was attacked by Goober (our lobby
cat) he has shown a "different" interest in other
cats - but other (non alpha/agressive) dogs would be great
so he has a playmate. He is trusting but needs to get to
know whomever is interested in taking him home.
